SAUL BASS Saul Bass was an award-winning filmmaker working on motion picture title sequences. As he was also a graphic designer his animated sequences were what he became best known for, making him one of Hollywood's greatest filmmakers in his 40-year career.

Bass studied at the Art Students League and then moved onto Brooklyn College. He began by doing print work for film adverts and soon collaborated with filmmaker Otto Preminger to design the film poster for 'Carmen Jones' in 1954.
As Otto was very impressed he gave Saul the opportunity to design the title sequence aswell resulting in Bass becoming widley known in the industry and leading him to create several others including; Casino, Pyscho, Goodfellas, Cape fear and many more.

His graphic designing passion helped him in producing various yet the most iconic logos in North America consisting of; Dixie, United Way, Continental Airlines etc.
Also in creating Movie posters for five decades for many movies such as; Vertigo, West Side Story, The Shining etc. where he worked with Otto some more and Alfred Hitchcock.
